Store Keeper

• The Store Keeper will report directly to Program accountant based in Serengeti • The Storekeeper will work closely with the Operation Manager and Logistics • Knowledgeable in the quick book is a must

FZSFZS is committed to maintaining biodiversity and conserving wildlife and ecosystems in protected areas and outstanding wild places of the Serengeti, the Selous, and the Mahale ecosystems in partnership with the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania through the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism.
As part of our growing conservation efforts within Serengeti National Park FZS is looking for a storekeeper to support its vision and mission in Serengeti
The specific Job requirement: -
1. To receive the materials/spares ordered by the Serengeti project
2. Ensure proper documentation filling for all documents like GRN and delivery note 3. To ensure the correctness of the quality, quantity, specifications, and condition of the materials received from vendors.
4. To stock the materials received from vendors properly to ensure easy access to identification, verification, handling, maintenance, and counting
5. To ensure proper stocking of materials and spares by using appropriate methods of care and preservation to avoid any damage and loss.
6. To ensure To ensure a smooth issue of materials and spares to the user with proper documentation i.e. GIN and Garage issue note.
7. To ensure accurate accounting of the materials received and issued.
8. To ensure a favorable working atmosphere is maintained for the personnel working in the store.
9. To ensure proper safety measures are taken for the safety of the store building, materials in the store, and the men working there.
10.To ensure that the store is always maintained up to date in all respects in a presentable condition.
Function:
The function of the store person is as follows: -
1. To receive the materials/ spares supplied by the vendor as per the purchase order 2. To check the materials thoroughly for quality, quantity, specification condition, etc. 3. To categorize the materials category-wise and stock them in the appropriate locations in the store
4. To take appropriate action for the care and preservation of the materials for easy access 5. Periodical stock verification, counting, and ensuring the correctness of stock at all times.
6. To take safety measures for safety by storehouse, materials, and men working in the store. 7. To maintain the neatness and tidiness of the storehouse.
8. To issue materials to the users as per the indents.
9. To issue materials to users as per the schedule.
10.To pass the bills of the materials received from the vendor and send them to the Accounts department for payment.
11.To carry out a periodical condemnation board for the unserviceable materials/spares. 12.To take action for the disposal of scrap materials as per the procedure. 13.To keep all the documents up to date.
14.Generate reports and submit them to concerted authorities.
15.To attend audit by the auditors.
Required qualification:
1. Diploma in material management or store management or any other relevant skills 2. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Stores Management
3. Registered with the National Board of Material Management and/or Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply will be added advantage
4. Proven professional background in spare part handling in a large garage 5. Attention to detail
6. Good computer and computing skills
7. Fluency in both Swahili and English
8. Good report-writing skills
9. Availability, ability, and willingness to work in remote areas in Tanzania
10.Knowledgeable of quick book to manage store
The successful candidate needs to be able to:
1. Maintain sensitive information with utmost confidentiality and integrity
2. Provide sound technical advice without bias
3. Be willing and ready to live and work with small team in a remote location 4. Be physically fit and able to deal with remote working field locations
